Guaro, Spain · 11 y 12 de septiembre de 2026
The Festival de la Luna Mora in Guaro is one of the most notable recreations of old Al-Ándalus and an unmissable date on Málaga province's cultural calendar. Every September, the town of Guaro switches off its streetlights and lights up streets, squares and façades with thousands of candles, while an extensive craft market fills the old town with traditional food, handmade crafts and the scent of cinnamon and incense. The festival celebrates the coexistence of Jewish, Christian and Arab cultures with a programme of musical performances in the Plazas de la Villa and the Auditorio de la Luna Mora, with Andalusi and Sephardic music and Oriental dance taking centre stage. It is organised by Guaro Town Council, and entry to the site and the market is free, except for the concerts, which require a paid ticket.
