La Juan Román formed in Granada in late 2021 and have become the city's leading cumbia act. Their original songs blend 1990s Argentine cumbia, Córdoba's cuarteto style and touches of Peruvian chicha with the rawness of rock; their line-up includes musicians with backgrounds in bands such as Eskorzo and El Jose. Their singles include "Preso de esta cumbia" and "Y si te vas".
They bring their cumbia night to Sala Classic Malagueta in Málaga (the former Sala Marte, Calle San Nicolás 2) on Friday 19 February 2027 at 21:00. Tickets from €10.
