The Cine Philharmonic Orchestra performs "John Williams & Hans Zimmer: The Best Film Music" at Teatro Cervantes on Thursday 7 January 2027 at 20:00, as part of MOSMA Reloaded 2026-27, Málaga's 11th International Film Music Festival.
The heroism of "Star Wars", the daring of "Indiana Jones" and the magic of "Harry Potter" inspired some of John Williams's best-loved scores; he worked closely with Steven Spielberg and composed the music for nearly all of his films. Hans Zimmer, meanwhile, has written the music for hits such as "Gladiator", "Inception", "Sherlock Holmes", "Pirates of the Caribbean", the "Dark Knight" trilogy and "The Lion King" since the 1980s, with soundscapes ranging from Ancient Rome to the far future.
Founded in 1995 as the Cinema Symphony Orchestra, the Cine Philharmonic Orchestra moves audiences of all ages and brings symphonic music to new generations. It has performed at venues including L'Auditori in Barcelona, Teatro Real in Madrid, the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, the Kursaal in San Sebastián, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Berlin Philharmonie. A journey through the film scores that have made us laugh, cry, dream and jump out of our seats.
Running time: 2 hours, with an interval.
