Santiago Auserón (Zaragoza, 1954) is one of the most influential musicians in the history of Spanish pop-rock, as founder, frontman and songwriter of Radio Futura (1979–1992) and later under the name Juan Perro. A doctor of philosophy, his lyrics and compositions — from "Escuela de calor" to "Semilla negra" — have shaped entire generations. In his later career he explored the roots of Cuban son and African blues. In 2026 he presents "La Academia Nocturna", a live reworking of the best of his career.
