Catupecu Machu

Catupecu Machu are an Argentine alternative rock band formed in April 1994 in Villa Luro (Buenos Aires) by brothers Fernando and Gabriel Ruiz Díaz. Fernando, vocalist, guitarist and main songwriter, is the only permanent member since the beginning. Gabriel, the bassist until 2006, was left without mobility after a car accident that year and died in 2021. They released "Dale!" (1997), "Cuentos decapitados" (2000), "Cuadros dentro de cuadros" (2002), "El número imperfecto" (2004), "Laberintos entre aristas y dialectos" (2007), "Simetría de Moebius" (2009) and "El mezcal y la cobra" (2011). They received the Konex Diploma of Merit in 2015. Their songs include "Y lo que quiero es que pises sin el suelo" and "Eso vive".
